Recent Projects...

This last couple months have been busy for New Wave Aquaria. We have been all over the state of Minnesota working on many different projects. The one pictured is a 400 gallon in Alexandria, MN. It is a saltwater aquarium featuring many beautiful marine fish including a very photogenic Dogface Puffer.

MY KOI

This summer has been an interesting one for pond hobbyists. With all the rain it has been hard to sit out and actually enjoy the true beauty and tranquility of an outdoor pond. The positive side of all the rain though is that my gardens have taken off in all new directions.

MY PRECIOUS BABIES

My baby black clownfish are over 100 days old now. They are so ridiculously precious!! I currently have 130 black clowns and 50 orange clowns. If it were up to me I would keep them all but I know, like any parent, I must let them go eventually. Currently, they are for sale and ready for new homes. They swim freely in bubble anemones and eat EVERYTHING!!

I Dream of Tahiti

With all the snow, cold and ice, I wish I was still in Tahiti!!! These are all pictures I took while diving off the reef in Moorea.

210 Gallon Feature Reef

This 210 gallon reef aquarium is just over a year old and is doing amazing. Look at the size of the Leather Coral and the Xenia colony. It houses numerous fish including yellow tangs, a blue hippo tang, coral beauty, pair of mandarin gobies, anthias and many others. It is a truly beautiful vision.

My Newest Project

This stunning 1400 Gallon Freshwater Aquarium is one of two located in a St. Paul School. I have been asked to help maintain these systems alongside teaching staff at the school. Each aquarium is 16 feet long, 4 feet high and 4 feet wide. This one houses dozens of African Cichlids including some beautiful Peacock Hybrids. The other aquarium houses Minnesota Native fish including bass, walleye, sunfish and many others.
I added a picture of the system behind the scenes, it's pretty intense.

Yellow Carpet Anemones Are In

We just purchased 3 bright yellow carpet anemones. In all my years, I have never seen anemones so brilliantly colored. As you can see, these clownfish have claimed their homes. It is truly a beautiful sight.
